In America, the early performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely be in the child prodigy category. However, for an Irish girl surrounded with gifted parents and extended family these traits came as a normal. Maureen was welcomed into the family-oriented home on the 17th of August 20, in Ranelagh. Marguerita Lilburn FitzSimons was the mother of her. She was an accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons managed a Dublin-based business and owned a share of "The Shamrock Rovers," an eminent Irish soccer squad. Maureen FitzSimons is the 2nd FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen excelled at sports and loved rough games. Her passion for sports was matched by an equally natural talent of performing. As evidenced by receiving nearly every Feis awards for drama and theatrical performing her country offered. In her 14th year, she joined at the Abbey Theater to follow her dream and study classical theatre and operatic vocals.
